Friday, July 15 (All Friday evening events in Woodall Park)

6 p.m. “Christmas in July” Community Picnic, bring salads & desserts to share. Pork loin sandwiches, hotdogs,

& beans will be served. Paper products & drinks will be provided. Free will donation for Woodall Park playground equipment.

 

6:45 p.m. Enjoy listening to Elvis in Concert, Limited seating, bring lawn chairs.

Sport Day Sheriff will be sworn in.

Airband Concert, immediately following Elvis (Mary Wienbar, 546-2434)

 

Saturday, July 16

7 to 10 a.m. Breakfast at Legion Hall. Served by Sons of the American Legion. (Colin Royal, 354-0310).

 

8:00 a.m.Benefit Walk for Leo Hallan. Start at the Post Office. (Mary Wienbar, 546-2434).

 

9 a.m. Parade Line Up on Quapaw St. (Patty & Lee Decker, 546-2567).

 

10 a.m.“Time to Celebrate” Parade, led by the HSC 153rd Engr. BN, prizes for top 3 entries.

Kids Decorate Your Bike Contest & Enter the Parade (12 and under). Prizes awarded.

Bed Races on Main Street immediately following the parade. (Peskey’s 354-4046)

Candy scramble on Main Street after the bed races.

 

1-2 p.m. Guess the weight of the Belgian team at Woodall Park. $1 a guess, closest guess wins $25.

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Iroquois Heritage Museum  open.

 

12 p.m. Living History Activities at the museum (churn butter, make rope, & other fun activities for

kids of all ages!) (Mary Wienbar, 546-2434)

 

11 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch served at the Legion Hall.

 

1 p.m. Family Softball Games, Woodall Park. (Mark & Laricia Hofhenke, 546-2081)

 

1:30 p.m. Kids Castle Bounce at Woodall Park. (Colin Royal 354-0310)

 

1 p.m. Lawn Mower Poker Run, The Stumble Inn. (Dennis Nelson, 546-2219).

 

Beginning at 1:00 p.m. Concessions Stand at Woodall Park.

 

2 p.m. Small Town, Big Dreams Presentation in the Legion. Film & photos of Iroquois past and present.

Sunday, July 17

7 to 11 a.m. Breakfast at Legion Hall, served by the Sons of the American Legion.

 

2 p.m. Kids Castle Bounce at Woodall Park. (Colin Royal 354-0310)

 

2 p.m. Horseshoes & Beanbags at the park. (Brad Wienbar & Dean Peskey).

Beginning at 2:00 p.m. Concessions Stand at Woodall Park.

 

4 p.m. Golden Triangle Chili Cook Off. At Woodall Park. Donations taken from chili feed will help

purchase Golden Triangle Community High School banners. (Enter by July 1st, Marlys Peskey, 456-2359).  

Cash prize for best tasting chili $100, $75, $50.

 

4 p.m. Music by the Norgaard Country Duo at Woodall Park.

 

5 to 7 p.m. Horse drawn wagon rides, Woodall Park.(Mike Keating)

 

5 p.m. Sand Volleyball Games, (Jill Cundy, 546-8550)

 

In case of rain Friday and Sunday events will be held in the South Gym.
