Friday, July 16, (All Friday evening events in Woodall Park)

6:00 p.m. “Country Hoe Down” Community Picnic, bring your lawn chairs, & a salad or dessert to pass (Pork loin sandwiches, baked beans, drinks, and paper products will be provided)

Sports Day Sheriff will be sworn in

Air Band Concert immediately after picnic (Call Mary Wienbar, 546-2434)

8:00 p.m. Enjoy the Music of the Norgaard Country Duo

 

Saturday, July 17

7:00-10:00 a.m. Breakfast at the Legion Hall (Colin Royal 354-0310)

8:00 a.m. Benefit Walk for Roger Rounds. Start at the Post Office (Donna Leichtenberg 546-2592)

9:00 a.m. Parade line up on Quapaw Street (Lee & Patty Decker 546-2567)

9:00 a.m. Free Kids’ Craft Activity in Fire hall (Lexi Johnson 854-3621)   

9:00-12:00 p.m. Quilt Show in Fire hall Meeting Room (Barb Feterl 546-0278)

9:00 a.m. Free Quilting Demonstration presented by Barb Feterl, free patterns provided

10:00 a.m. Parade lead by HSC 153rd Engr. Bn., prizes given to top three parade entries

Bed Races immediately follow parade on Main Street (Jesse & Abby Rounds 546-2057)

11:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch served at the Legion Hall

1:30 p.m.  “Mary Drake, Pioneer, Minister & Published Author,” presented by Mary Wienbar, at the Legion Hall.

**Iroquois City Jail will be reopened for Sports Day Weekend as a fundraiser for a new walking/biking path. Buy a special amnesty bracelet to insure your continual freedom and stay out of jail for the duration of the weekend! (Bracelets $10, Warrants $5, Fines $5, Bail $5)
